The symposium will be held in Katahira Sakura Hall, which is located in Katahira Campus, Tohoku University.

Katahira Campus is located in central Sendai in the neighborhood of Hirose River. The campus is the birthplace of Tohoku University, which was founded as Tohoku Imperial University in 1907.

Many modern architectural structures, some of which date back to the beginning of the 20th century, can be found on the campus. The administration bureau and research institutes of the university are placed throughout this campus. Sendai City residents use the open spaces of the campus for their relaxation time and other activities.
